Weight Loss Program - 5 Sessions $450 (plus tax)  Includes a reinforcement audio recording

Losing weight can be a long and challenging process.  In this program you will learn to deal with emotional eating, habits and cravings.  Portion control is dealt with using a hypnotic gastric band.

By reducing the available space in your stomach, gastric band surgery has proven very helpful with weight loss- but it is expensive and potentially dangerous.  A hypnotic gastric band lets you enjoy the benefits of the surgery without the risks.  While you know that you haven't actually had a gastric band fitted, your unconscious mind and body respond as though you have and you will be able to eat far less and not feel like you are missing out.

Smoking Cessation Program - 5 sessions $450 (plus tax)  Includes a reinforcement audio recording

When you are really ready to stop smoking, hypnotherapy is an effective tool to help you on your journey.  During your sessions you will explore what caused you to start smoking and what is holding you back from quitting.  Discover what triggers you to smoke, how to deal with those triggers and be motivated to move forward as a healthy, non-smoker.

What are the statistics on the effectiveness of hypnosis?

Here is a brief review of some of the research evidence on the effectiveness of hypnosis:

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept It Off

Researchers analyzed 18 studies comparing cognitive behavioural therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis.

Those who received hypnosis lost more weight than 90% of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended.

University of Connecticut, Storrs Allison DB, Faith MS. Hypnosis as an adjunct to cognitive-behavioural psychotherapy for obesity: a meta-analytic reappraisal. J Consult Clinical Psychologist. 1996; 64(3): 513-516

Hypnosis can more than double the effects of traditional weight loss approaches

An analysis of five weight loss studies reported in the Journal of Consulting and  Clinical Psychology in 1996 showed that the "...weight loss reported in the five studies indicates that hypnosis can more than double the effects" of traditional weight loss approaches.

University of Connecticut, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in1996 (Vol. 64, No.3, pgs 517-519).

Hypnosis Has a Reliable and Significant Impact on Acute and Chronic Pain

Randomized controlled studies with clinical populations indicate that hypnosis has a reliable and signficant impact on acute procedural pain and chronic pain conditions.

Hypnosis and Clinical Pain. Patterson DR, Jensen MP, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, WA USA 98104 Psycol Bull. 2003 Jul; 129(4):  495-521

Hypnosis Most Effective Says Largest Study Ever: 3 Times as Effective as Patch and 15 Times  as Effective as Willpower

Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest  ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit. A meta-analysis, statistically combining results of more than 600 studies of 72,000 people from America and Europe to compare various methods of quitting.  On average, hypnosis was over  3 times as effective as nicotine replacement methods and 15 times as effective as trying to quit alone.

How does hypnosis work?

During your hypnotherapy session you work with the therapist to go into a trance state. Trance is a natural state of consciousness during which the mind becomes less linear and analytical than in the waking state, entering into what might be called "passive attention".  If you have ever become so immersed in a television program that you lost track of time or didn't hear you name when it was called, you are familiar with trance.  If you've ever driven a vehicle for an extended period, sitting passively behind the wheel for hours at a time and later remembered little of what happened, you have been in trance.

During trance the mind is inwardly focused and only passively attentive to the outer environment.  Further, it is much more receptive to suggestion than usual; within certain boundaries one becomes less critical of incoming information.  It should be mentioned, however, that a person in trance does not  act in a manner contrary with deeply held values.  Occasionally, people harbour misconceptions about hypnosis as a means by which an unscrupulous person can achieve control over another.  That simply is Hollywood drama and not reality.  Hypnosis is not something that another person does to you without your cooperation; if you truly do not want to be hypnotized no one can impose the trance state upon you against your will.  Our mind is ever vigilant - even in trance - to protect us from perceived danger.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each session will normally take between 1 and 1.5 hours.

What My Clients Are Saying

Lee Ann and her program have been my salvation.  I have struggled with extra weight all of my life.  I must have gained and lost hundreds of pounds in the last 30 years or so.  Lee Ann has helped me to overcome my ingrained habits and emotional eating so I could start to lose the weight.  The sessions were relaxing and left me feeling refreshed, upbeat and stress free.  The key for me was to engage my subconscious mind.  I no longer agonize over what to eat or not eat because everything that I want to eat is getting me closer to my goal. And I want to get moving and be active. I would recommend Lee Ann to anyone with similar weight struggles.  She is awesome!

I am a firm believer in alternative medicine and treatments.  I decided to explore hypnotherapy to treat my insomnia, jaw pain and phobias regarding rodents and snakes.  Lee Ann not only has the interpersonal skills to make one feel at ease, but also exudes professionalism in her approach.  Lee Ann patiently worked with me through various ailments and issues and after each session I felt improvements in all areas of my life. - JW

Going into hypnotherapy sessions I was very sceptical on how and if it would work.  I am now a firm believer in hypnotherapy.  I have had a tremendous improvement with my anxiety, and that's after just a few sessions.  If you're interested in hypnotherapy and looking for a place to go, this is easily the best!  - CW
